college town

last may, vince and i used our free porter credits from the chicago fiasco to visit boston for the first time. we unknowingly went during commencement weekend so it was absolutely insane. the hotel prices were through the roof and the restaurants were packed but we had such a great time! here is quite a large selection of photos from our trip.

the food in boston was incredible! we went to kaze shabu shabu on our first night.

hehe, dirty hotel window.

since the red sox were not playing at home, we took a fenway park tour and it actually worked out even better as we got to see the green monster seats and the press box.

eeps, look how big my nose's shadow is in this photo!

the baseballs leave marks on the wall when they hit it!

after our tour, we went to island creek oyster bar for lunch. i think this is one of my favourite restaurants... ever!

boston library!

for dinner, we went to aquitaine and the mussels were excellent. another great restaurant.

the next day, we visited mit and harvard university. :)

between the colleges, we ate amazing burgers at craigie on main. the housemade donut wasn't too shabby either!

we were so exhausted after lunch that we took a quick nap on the lawn at harvard. lots of people were sunbathing so we weren't out of place in the slightest. :)

that night, we headed to neptune oyster for dinner but they were "sold out" for the evening. we grabbed some cupcakes from lulu's and pondered about where to go from there.

we decided to head to douzo, which was highly recommended by my boss. it did not disappoint!

we were blessed with amazing weather for most of the weekend but our luck ran out on our last day. it was very chilly and drizzly. we headed to quincy market, took a peek at the waterfront, picked up a couple of delicious subs from al's, and then headed to the airport.

my favourite little building in boston!

plane food just doesn't compare after our incredible trip. i am hoping we will make a repeat visit very soon!
