every time we go to our breeder's home, we're about 20 to 30 minutes early. so we head to tim hortons to buy drinks and cookies. i always choose gingerbread. last time, it was a frog. this time, popeye. i waited until monday morning to gobble him up.

we went to visit our new baby girl today. i was super excited and even more so when i found out we'd be bringing her home on mother's day!

truff's brush

truffle the bunny is currently going through his first heavy shed and my is he ever losing a lot of fur! we joke that he is shedding so much that soon we will have a bald bunny. we've taken to using this lint brush on him - we brush him backwards to pull out more loose fur. more recently, we purchased a zoom groom and it is amazing!!! hopefully, the shedding will subside soon...

nine ladies dancing

this is probably my most literal interpretation thus far of the monthly photo project. the base image is a slow shutter speed photograph taken of people walking around at the eaton centre. i layered on top of this an image of a lady taken with my iphone... and repeated nine times. in the end, you don't really see the base image at all - which is unfortunate because i really liked the movement in the photo - but i like that it adds texture so i am decently happy with the overall result.

i originally used a more red-orange colour treatment on the image but it was too similar to ten lords a leaping so i changed it to a stormy blue-grey.



excited to see what belle came up with this month!

i'm always impatient to get home on fridays. the walk seems longer yet still somehow just a little sweeter.

monday morning. i head out for my daily walk to work and what do i see? a bird ride sitting in the garbage pile at the back of my building. a double take and a head shake later, i knew it was real. i took photos. walked a few more steps and saw a huge carnival size bag of popcorn on the ground. wacky monday morning.

new do

ok, is it just me or does my hair look like a wig in this photo? i swear, this is my real hair!!! oddly enough, this is not the only photo with the "wig" effect.

when vince saw my new 'do, he asked if i had dyed it - he said it looked blacker than normal. now looking at the photo, i can see it's true. my hair does look a lot blacker. weird. maybe that's why it looks like a wig.

thinking about it further, it must be because most of my top layer of hair (the layer that was streaked brown by the sun) was cut off to create the bangs. yeah, that must be it.

i guess spring is definitely the time for shopping. this pattern, believe it or not, is on the cutest spring dress i've seen in years. simple, sweet, and comfortable. if only it had pockets, it'd be perfect.

this is what i see when i lean back in my chair and look beyond the walls of my cubilicious cubicle. nope, no one sits beside me. yup, it does get lonely sometimes. nope, i usually don't mind it in the least. except sometimes it's quite boring.

double take

on tuesday night, i used the rest some leftover tomato sauce to make some personal size pita pizzas. i lifted the lid to the pot and - instead of throwing it in the sink immediately like i usually do - i put it handle-side-down on my counter.

then i did a double take.

the condensation on the underside of the lid was absolutely beautiful! i've seen a lot of pot lid condensation in my time but never like this.

i know it's only been about a quarter of the year, but this iphone three sixty five project has been so much fun... and surprisingly easy to get through. last year, at this point during my daily photo project, i was floundering.

some of my favourite three sixty five photographs have been abstracts and i think for my twenty-twelve three sixty five project, i'm going to focus on abstracts on the hipstamatic app. although you can somewhat tell what the objects are in the photo below (sorta sorta), i think it would qualify as one of my abstracts. can you guess what the objects are?
