the snowstorm that never was

the news warned of a veritable apocalypse. schools closed. even public schools in toronto, which never seemed to happen when i was young. people stayed home. but not this courageous girl. i braved the snowstorm and walked all the way to work. then all the way back home. twenty eleven will always be the year that i braved the snowstorm that never was.
